Terms of Service
Last updated 12 August 2026
1. These terms
Tovi is provided by ZETA TECH CONSULTING LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 15723443. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means you.
By downloading or using Tovi you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.
2. Who can use Tovi
You must be 18 or over to use Tovi. By using it you confirm that you are.
Tovi is available worldwide and reads statements in any currency, but it was built and tested against UK bank statements first. It may read a statement from your bank less well than it reads a British one, and its knowledge of shops and merchants is strongest in the UK. You may not use Tovi where doing so would break the law where you live.
3. What Tovi does
You give Tovi a bank statement. It reads every line, checks the total against the balances printed on the statement, sorts the transactions into categories, and shows you what it found — a recap, patterns it noticed, and your months side by side.
Tovi does not connect to your bank. It has no access to your accounts, cannot see anything you have not given it, and cannot move money. It reads documents you choose to hand it, and nothing else.
4. Your account
You can use Tovi without an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at rabi@finai.cc if you think someone else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
5. Subscription and payment
- Tovi is a paid subscription. A free trial may be offered; its length is shown before you start it.
- The price is the one shown in the App Store at the time you subscribe. If we change it, the change applies from your next renewal and Apple will tell you first.
- Payment is taken by Apple, not by us, and your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the next renewal. Cancelling in the app’s settings alone will not stop the billing.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. We cannot issue them ourselves, though tell us if something went wrong and we will help where we can.
6. Fair use
When you use Tovi you agree:
- to upload only your own statements, or ones you are entitled to upload
- to stay within the limits the app applies — currently up to three months of statements per upload, 25 pages per document, and six files at a time
- not to use Tovi through automated means, resell it, or run bulk analysis through it
- not to try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service
7. Tovi is not financial advice
Tovi describes what your money did. It does not tell you what to do about it, and nothing in it is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, or by any financial regulator anywhere else. Tovi is not a bank, not a payment service, and does not provide regulated advice. If you need advice about your finances, speak to someone qualified to give it where you live — in the UK, MoneyHelper (moneyhelper.org.uk) is a free place to start.
8. How accurate the numbers are
Tovi checks its work: it adds the transactions it read to your opening balance and compares the result to the closing balance printed on your statement. When those do not match, it tells you instead of guessing quietly. That check is the strongest promise we can make, and we take it seriously.
It is still not a guarantee. Statements vary, scans are imperfect, and the AI that reads and categorises them can be wrong — a category may be misassigned, or a merchant misread. Please treat what Tovi shows you as a helpful reading of your statement, not as a substitute for it, and check anything that matters against the statement itself. Do not rely on Tovi for tax returns, loan applications, legal proceedings or anything else where being wrong is expensive.
9. Your statements and your data
Your statements and the data in them are yours. You give us permission to process them only so far as we need to in order to analyse them and show you the result. What we do with them is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Tovi builds an anonymous dictionary of merchant names — that “SAINSBURYS S/MKT 4021” means Sainsbury’s, and that is groceries. Those mappings are descriptions of shops, hold no amounts or dates, and are not linked to you. We may keep and use them to make Tovi better for everybody.
10. Availability
We would like Tovi to work all the time, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may stop offering the service entirely — if we do, we will give you reasonable notice and you will not be charged for a period you cannot use.
11. Ending it
You can stop using Tovi whenever you like. Cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings, then delete your data or your whole account in Settings → Your data, and delete the app.
The order matters: deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, because only Apple can do that. Cancel with Apple first.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we are required to by law.
12. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
Otherwise: we are not liable for financial decisions you make on the basis of what Tovi showed you, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.
13. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Wherever you live, you keep every consumer protection the law there gives you, and anything on this page that would reduce it simply does not apply to you.
In the UK, that means the Consumer Rights Act 2015: digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and if it is not you have remedies regardless of what this page says. Free advice is available from Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk. In the European Union you have equivalent rights under EU consumer law, enforced by the consumer authority in your own country.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will always show when it last changed.
15. Law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
That choice cannot take away consumer protection you would have anyway. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own local courts — including if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, or in a European Union member state.
